Yankee Candle’s strategy for the Colorplay Collection was to appeal to a younger demographic and compete with the growing trend of artisan and minimalist-style candles popular in the market. For this enhanced content page my designer and I created for Amazon.com, we wanted to showcase the playfulness and the energy this collection brings: each candle features a fragrance and color that enhances the mood you want to experience.


When creating Amazon enhanced content, copywriters and designers have to follow a set number of modular templates. My designer and I wanted to change things up a bit while remaining within the guidelines. For these two examples, we incorporated the following hacks: (left) repurposing a comparison grid for use as a recommendations module and (right) expanding an image to take up all 4 modules (which looks great on mobile).
